Halo 4 “Tips and Tricks” – Faster Kills with the Light Rifle

After some testing and experimenting with the Light Rifles alternative firing modes (zoomed and un-zoomed) I have found the best and most efficient way to get faster kills with the Light Rifle. The Light Rifle’s firing modes are comparable to the Battle Rifle 3-round burst when fired un-zoomed and the DMR when fire zoomed. It involves combining the alternative firing modes together to make for a more efficient and faster kill.

I hope you find this helpful in using what is arguably the most versatile primary weapon in Halo 4.

If you have any other tips for Halo 4 go ahead and suggest them in the comment section!

Update: “Free” Halo 4 Crimson Map Pack

This is an update to my previous post about the temporary free access to the Halo 4 Crimson Map Pack.

Many people have asked questions why they can’t download it for free and apparently there is a catch/requirement to have complimentary free access to the map pack till the 18th.

The requirement is that you had to have received the code (via email associated to your gamertag or via Xbox live message) granting you access to the remaining 6 specializations. In order to receive this code, you had to have played Halo 4 prior to November 20th.

So many Europeans were never eligible to receive the specialization code, thus they are not eligible to have this temporary access to the Crimson Map Pack for free (till the 18th)

Apologizes for the confusion I may have caused,

UPDATE DEC 13: Click here for more info on the requirements to download

The Halo 4 Crimson Map Pack was released December 10th for individual purchase (800 MS points) or to owners of the War Games Map Pass (LE owners included). Unfrotunately due to some errors, War Games Map Pass owners had technical difficulties downloading the DLC on December 10th.

They have stated that Map Pass owners will not be reimbursed as the issue was resolved later that day (December 10th), but they have released the Map Pack for “free”, temporarily.

You can go download the map pack for free via the in-game marketplace (while you’re in the Halo 4 in-game menus). The map pack will be free till December 18th, but afterwards you will have to pay.

Think of it as a Crimson Map Pack Demo till December 18th. So go test out the maps if you don’t have them, and then decide if you want to purchase them December 18th.
