Halo: Spartan Assault “Operation Hydra”

HALO: SPARTAN ASSAULT GETS NEW MISSIONS, ACHIEVEMENTS, AND MORE

Exploration turns to explosive combat in Operation Hydra, a new Title Update for Halo: Spartan Assault which adds five all-new missions, Xbox 360 controller support, new achievements, and more. Operation Hydra will be available on August 29th. On top of this, power weapons previously only available through in-app purchase can now be acquired through using XP.

Below we are detailing the five new achievements you can nab which can net you a total of 50 points to add to your Gamerscore! Operation Hydra will be available on August 29th.

Archeology Complete Operation F 10 Points
Silvertip Destroy all Mega Turrets with the Grizzly tank in Operation F, Mission 2 10 Points
Tour of Duty Earn all Gold stars in Operation F 10 Points
Vidmaster Challenge 2.0 Complete Operation F, Mission 4 with the Blind and Thunderstorm Skulls active 15 Points
A for Effort Complete all Operation F mission challenges 5 Points

Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition Confirmed

Earlier today IGN came across a photo revealing details about a Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition that will be coming out later this October. It will include all of the downloadable content from the release day of Halo 4 (so far) for $49.99.

At the time this was a rumour but just recently a Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed the Game of the Year Edition with this statement

“A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place. We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday.”

The Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition will include:

  • Spartan Ops Season 1
  • War Games Map Pass:
    • Crimson, Majestic, and Castle Map Packs
    • Two in game helmets
    • and 1 in game emblem

Protect This House In matchmaking, assassinate the ball carrier within five meters of your own goal in Ricochet. 30 points
Hat Trick In matchmaking, score three times in one round of Ricochet. 33 points
