As predicted, Josh Holmes ( Studio Head for Halo 5: Guardians) confirmed via Twitter that Pre-Order Bonus weapons, skins, etc… for Halo 5: Guardians can be earned through regular gameplay. Pre-order just guarantees access to them day 1.

Brand new Halo: Guardians ViDoc focused entirely on the development process behind the new multiplayer game mode called Warzone. Warzone is a 12 vs 12 experience that also features friendly and enemy A.I. combatants. It combines the best elements of Halo gameplay and incorporates the entire sandbox into one epic multiplayer experience. It’s epic Player vs Player vs Environment action!
343 Industries kicked off the Xbox E3 Press Conference and revealed a cinematic trailer, a mission from Spartan Locke’s campaign, and the brand new multiplayer mode Warzone.
The BATTLE OF SUNAION mission demo shows Spartan Locke and the rest of Fireteam Osiris hunt down the Master Chief as the Arbiter fights off Covenant forces as this is their last stronghold. Locke’s team encounter new Promethean enemies: the Solider, and a Captain variant of the Soldier. They also encounter a brand new Forerunner air vehicle, the Phaeton – which is driveable in both campaign and multiplayer.
We witness a brand new weapon called a Plasma Caster. The demo ends with a Forerunner like boss called the Warden Eternal.
Warzone is a brand new multiplayer mode where it’s 12 vs 12 and also features tons of AI enemies and marine allies.

UPDATE (5/27): 343 has stated that the “May 29th” release date for Halo 3: ODST, that appeared on the Xbox Store, was a placeholder. They’re currently in the final testing phase.
“A placeholder release date for the ODST campaign for Halo: The Master Chief Collection was inadvertently listed on the Xbox Store. We continue final testing and will make an official announcement once our release date is determined, and apologize for any confusion.”

ORIGNAL STORY (5/26)
Halo 3: ODST for Halo: The Master Chief Collection has surfaced in the Xbox Store! 8.1GB in size and releases May 29th! The posting has since been removed. I assume the remastered multiplayer map Remnant (Relic) for Halo 2 Anniversary will also arrive the same day.
Halo 3: ODST’s campaign (not including firefight) is coming to Xbox One and will run at 1080p and 60 fps. Those who played Halo: The Master Chief Collection between launch and December 19th 2014 will receive it for free as compensation for the game’s launch troubles. There is currently no word if this DLC will be available for purchase separately at this time.
Halo 2 Anniversary’s multiplayer map Remnant (Relic) will be free for everyone, regardless when you played Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
With major questions about the Master Chief now out on the open network, a flood of feedback and theories come in from all corners of human space. Rumors spread that ONI has fabricated elaborate lies, but why? What are they covering up? Has the investigation now put everyone’s lives at risk?

Looking for answers, Ben asks Mshak to met with “Pharoah”, only to find out that she will find Ben first.

A visit deep inside ONI branch headquarters brings unexpected results. A voice from the past returns. And an in-flight incident sparks a flame that can’t be put out.
Halo 5 HUNT the TRUTH breakdown of Benjamin Giraud’s audio log Episode 5 – Out Of Time. Benjamin is called into ONI’s head office in Boston and is confronted by Michael Sullivan. Benjamin briefly interviews Franklin Mendez, who personally trained every spartan including John in the Spartan II and Spartan III programs. Benjamin is then fired and sent back home where he crosses paths with the fake Jacob Walker on the flight home. After confronting Walker, being sedated, awaking at home to a 50,000 cR fine, and discovering that he recorded the actions while he was sedated Ben doesn’t send ONI his raw files and embarks on telling the true story of the Master Chief.
