Halo 5: Guardians Xbox One X Gameplay 4K 60fps

For those wondering, the following Halo 5: Guardians gameplay was captured on Xbox One X using the built-in Game DVR. The recordings were not altered in post.

For those interested. The built-in Game DVR on Xbox One X records 4K 60fps footage around 25Mbps. For reference, Elgato’s HD60 Pro internal capture card can record up to 1080p 60fps footage at 60Mbps. Elgato’s 4K60fps internal capture card is not available until Nov 21st so I don’t know it’s bitrate.

Also keep in mind YouTube has a not-so-good compression setting. However despite the lower bitrate recording and YouTube’s compression, the footage still looks really good but the games look even better when you’re playing them on a 4K display.

Complete list of sandbox items being changed with the Weapon Tuning Update. Most notably, the Halo 5 Battle Rifle is getting nerfed!

Halo 5 Platinum REQ Packs! Are they worth it? Should you buy them? No

Halo 5 now has Platinum REQ Packs, let’s find out if they’re worth buy. Short answer: No.

You’re better off buying 2 Gold REQ packs for the REQ point price of 1 Platinum REQ pack. I feel that 343 Industries needs to re-work the Platinum packs to justify the price. Rewards need to be increased instead of offering fewer rewards with a better chance of higher rarity items.

Update: Platinum Packs have now proved to be worthwhile, that is, if you’ve already completed your REQ collection in Halo 5: Guardians.

If you’re still grinding to complete your unlocks, stick to Gold REQ Packs.

If you’re grinding to reach the max Spartan rank in Halo 5, and you have everything unlocked, then these packs are great as they will grant you a lot of XP boosts that you’ll definitely need.

Halo 5 Voices of War REQ Pack Leak!? Multiplayer Announcer Pack!?

Halo 5 “Voices of War” REQ Pack leaked on reddit. Will allegedly add Spartan Buck, Yabda Grunt, and Exuberant Witness as Multiplayer Announcers for Arena, Warzone, and Warzone Firefight.

“Unlock three legendary announcers to join War Games and call the plays in your Warzone, Warzone Firefight, and Arena matches! The Voices of War REQ Pack delivers three all-new combat narrators for use in Warzone, Warzone Firefight, and Arena. Once unlocked, go to Spartan Customization and either keep the default or select one of the three new announcer voice options:

– Spartan Buck, the rakish Warfighter
– Yabda the Merciless, the Grunt with a past
