Halo 4 Infinity Challenge Playlist Update 4 – Dominion

Dominion Inf Challenge

Sorry about the lack of updates. 343 has been enjoying the holiday break and hopefully this Thursday a regular HaloWaypoint Bulletin will be posted. Last week’s playlist for the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge contest was Regicide. I can assure you, we’re all probably sick of people camping for King bonuses, and/or boosting, and/or Active Camo camping, but that’s in the past now.

For the last week of qualifying, the focus will be on Dominion. So party up, capture those bases, and hopefully start a Sudden Death or two 😉

HaloWaypoint has been kind enough to provide some pointers for Dominion, which is a new multiplayer game mode to the Halo franchise.

“In this mode, you’ll need to work with your team to capture, fortify and resupply bases in order to win. To maximize your point total in this playlist, stay focused on the objective – while others may be focusing on kills, you may able to get several hundred points by sneakily capturing and defending bases. Remember that you also get points for destroying turrets and assisting captures, so sticking with your team is your best bet. This week, the Infinity Challenge playlist replaces the normal Dominion playlist, but you do not need to be registered for the tournament to play Dominion this week.” – HaloWaypoint

Halo 4 Playlist Rotation Discussion – My One Dislike About Halo 4

halo-4-problem-playlists-thumbnail

So as we have all noticed, that Halo 4 has featured rotating playlists every week. With the announcement of a playlist in the Halo Waypoint bulletin on a Thursday or Friday and then implementing the playlist on the following Monday along with other tweaks and minor changes to the multiplayer.

I like the idea of rotating playlists, but I find the time period of 1 week to be to short to prove the playlists popularity (at least fairly). Some would prefer to have all playlists available now and have them stay, but that would require more resources on 343’s part.

What are your thoughts?

PS. Yes there are other issues with the game that the community is very vocal about, but I for one am not going to fault 343 Industries for features they have promises to work on. I am happily awaiting the arrival of the file share system and CSR ranks, both are items that should hopefully show major improvements after studying the game post-release.

Halo 4 Top 5 Plays of the Week! – Episode 1

Halo-4-Top-5-Plays

Here it is my first ever Top 5 series. I hope you guys enjoy! Feedback would be greatly appreciated and as always I’m looking for more clips so submit them to the link here.

I’m trying to make my Top 5 series exciting and entertaining by making my own style. I will occasionally let clips speak for themselves, but sometimes that can be boring to watch without some sort of commentary over top as many times people don’t notice everything at first glance.

Halo 4 News – 2 New Armor Abilities?! Teleport + Hacker

According to many reports within the Halo community, 2 armor abilities have been found deep within the code of the game.

These two are being called “Teleport” and “Hacker”. With teleport acting similar to the Promethean Knights ability to teleport, “bending time and space“, to different areas. And Hacker having the ability to disable the usage of an enemies armor ability (i.e. stop a jet pack, stop the usage of active camo, etc…)

It is unknown at this time whether these abilities are new or old bits of code. They may appear in future updates or in Halo 5 or Halo 6. What is known is that 343 did say in an interview a while ago talking about a potential teleportation armor ability similar to the Promethean Knights ability to teleport. But that has since been scrapped. So perhaps these are rejected ideas that still partially exist in the games code.

What are your thoughts?
